I haven´t made house warming cards previously but few days ago one of my friend ordered one from me. I really became inspired about the idea and so I made few prototypes.
Ensimmäisessä kortissa käytin Joy´s:n Bille´s Stones stanssia sabluunana tiilikuvioiden tekemiseen. Joy´s:n Home Sweet Home sarjan ikkuna sopi enemmän kuin hyvin aiheeseen.
For the first card I used Joy´s stencil "Bille´s Stone" to make a brick pattern. Joy´s have also a nice window stencil which is more than matching for the house warming cards.
Ensimmäinen kortti valmistui melko nopeasti ja oli helppo työstää stanssien ja kuvioleikkurien avulla. Toinen kortti olikin työläämpi, koska siihen ei ollut olemassa kaavoja entuudestaan. Idean korttiin sain vanhasta lastenlorusta, jossa kenkätalossa asuu eukko sadan lapsen kanssa. Loru itsessään on hämmentävä, mutta lapsena ajatus kenkätalosta oli kiehtova :)
The first card was quite easy to make quickly - thanks to the stencils and cutters. The second card was a little bit arduous to make because there wasn´t any ready patterns previously. I got an idea for the card from the old poetry about the lady who lived in the shoe with so many children she didn´t know what to do. Well, the poetry itself is confusing but when I was a kid, I was facinated by the idea about the SHOE HOUSE :)
